Last Friday (14), Novonor and the OEC held an internal event on conflict of interests, with the participation of professionals who are references on the subject. Led by Rafael Gomes, Head of Integrity and Risk Management at OEC and Novonor, Marcelo Lima, Director of Governance and Integrity at Toyo Setal; Felipe França, Compliance Consultant; Tamara Ginciene, Business Consultant at ESSERE Educação e Desenvolvimento de Pessoas; Ana Paula Carracedo, Executive Director at Aegea Saneamento e Participações S.A; Gustavo Antunes, Head of Core Compliance at OEC; Fernando Salvador, Chief Compliance Officer at BRK Ambiental; and Carlos Henrique Barbora, compliance consultant for Votorantim S.A.

The meeting was an opportunity to exchange experiences among industry experts on how to identify, prevent, and deal with conflicts of interest effectively. Through the presentation of hypothetical cases of conflict, the round table participants were able to evaluate which decision would be the most appropriate to be taken with a view to common sense and compliance with the law.

Through the dynamics, the spectators had the opportunity to clarify doubts during the event.
