The planned and announced succession of the CEO of Novonor S.A. has been completed.

As of April 5, 2021, José Mauro Carneiro da Cunha will become the CEO of Novonor S.A., succeeding Ruy Sampaio.

Jose Mauro joined Novonor’s Board of Directors in October 2019, and in December he became the Chairman of the Board. José Mauro remains as Chairman of Braskem’s Board of Directors.

The Board thanks Ruy Sampaio for his harmonious, productive, and indispensable management for the continuity of the group’s business. Ruy is still a member of Novonor’s Board of Directors.

The Board wishes José Mauro much success in this new program, and reaffirms the trust it has always placed in him as a companion, and that it now places in him as President Director.

Héctor Núnez replaces José Mauro as Chairman of Novonor’s Board of Directors.

Héctor is Cuban-American and has been living in Brazil for more than 20 years.

Héctor was Vice-President of Operations for Coca Cola in Latin America, for the Caribbean, Central America and Andean Countries, based in Costa Rica, was co-founder of Sucos Del Valle in Brazil, President of Walmart in Brazil and President of Ri Happy, also in Brazil.

He sits on the Board of Directors of well-known companies, and is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lojas Marisa.
