Compliance On Top: OEC director receives national recognition

On December 14, the Compliance On Top 2023 yearbook was launched, a publication that provides an overview of the market based on the collaboration of professionals working in the segment. In a survey of these professionals, which this year registered a record of more than three thousand votes, Rafael Mendes Gomes, Risk and Integrity Director at Novonor and OEC, was elected one of the 20 most admired compliance executives in Brazil.

Compliance On Top was conceived by VITTORE, a consultancy specializing in executive recruitment, and LEC – Legal, Ethics & Compliance, a leader in executive compliance education in Brazil. The event highlights the various professionals who play a key role in building ethical and transparent practices.

Gomes expressed his gratitude for the award. “I was fortunate to be among the 20 most admired executives of 2023, which I didn’t achieve alone. Otherwise, it was only possible because of the support of thousands of people, including my team. In these more than two years with the Group, Novonor and OEC have achieved unprecedented and essential successes for the resumption of growth, including the recent certification of the Pro-Ethics Company Seal, awarded by the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU). All these achievements have certainly reflected on my image in the market and have contributed to this recognition,” he says.
