City hit by heavy rains to receive support from OEC

The newspaper Gazeta de Alagoas reported last Sunday (29) that an OEC team of workers was displaced from the Canal do Sertão Alagoano to provide emergency assistance to the city of Santana do Ipanema, hit by the overflowing Camuxinga stream after heavy rains in the region.
The company released approximately 25 men and heavy machinery to assist in the city cleaning. The mission, which was carried out successfully, ended last Saturday (28) afternoon after the city hall having declared an emergency situation on the 27th. The flooding caused direct damages to more than 200 families, in addition to other inconveniences to the local population, which, for two days, who had their routine changed by the mud and dirt scattered on the city streets.
