Braskem wins first place in the 14th CIEE Best Internship Programs Award

Braskem has achieved first place in the 14th CIEE Best Internship Programs Award in the Opportunities category in the industry. This award analyses the number of internship positions offered by internship programs in Brazil.

This acknowledgement reinforces Braskem’s commitment to developing talents and increasing the employability of people at the beginning of their careers, making Braskem an increasingly inclusive, human and diverse company.

Over the years, the Internship Program has evolved to attract black people, women, people with disabilities, and other individuals from underrepresented groups. In addition to flexibilizing evaluation criteria and using resumes without photos, age, and the institution where the candidate studies, Braskem provides a fully-funded English scholarship for those who are hired.

The evolution of the Program is ongoing and has been showing positive results. In the last cycle of 2023, we received 36,248 applications and hired 351 people for various areas and locations within Braskem. Of that group, 62% are low-income people, 51% are women, 42% are black people, 16% LGBTQIA+, and 1% are people with disabilities.
