Braskem participates in debates on themes in evidence at the 11th Sustainable Turn
Committed to sustainable development and the promotion of the circular economy, in addition to seeking to increase diversity among its employees, Braskem sponsors and participates in discussions at the Virada Sustentável Forum. With the objective of provoking reflections about the relationship of the human being with the environment and social issues, the series of events of the 11th edition of the Virada Sustentável begins this Thursday, September 2nd, and will continue until the 22nd of the same month.
Braskem will count on the participation of different employees in varied lectures. The first of these, called “The future of recycling” and scheduled for September 9th, will feature Fabiana Quiroga, Director of Circular Economy at Braskem in South America, to address the importance of post-consumption plastics and technologies and solutions of mechanical and advanced recycling in building an increasingly circular economy. Next, on the 13th, Jorge Soto, Director of Sustainable Development at Braskem, participates in the lecture with the American economist, Jeffrey Sachs, professor at Columbia University, economic advisor, best-selling author and a global leader in sustainable development. Finally, on the 22nd, Camila Fossati, Director of Organizational Development at Braskem, brings up for discussion the theme of diversity in the composition of the workforce in the panel “Inclusion and diversity: the importance of targets to boost the agenda.”
“Being a company whose purpose is to improve people’s lives by creating the sustainable solutions of chemistry and plastic places us as a protagonist in the challenge of environmental preservation and the issues concerning post-consumption plastic.” says Braskem’s Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication, Ana Laura Sivieri. “At Braskem, we always try to develop a welcoming, diverse, and inclusive work environment, encouraging our employees and third parties to be who they are,” concludes the Director.
In order to participate in the panels, those interested need to register free on the Virada Sustentável website: www.viradasustentavel.org.br/palestras.
