Braskem is champion in the Chemicals and Petrochemicals category at Valor 1000

Braskem receives the award for the best company in the Chemicals and Petrochemicals sector from Valor 1000, one of the most important yearbooks in Brazil. This is the second time the company has been chosen in recent years.
The 18th edition of the awards ceremony was held on August 20 in São Paulo, in which representatives from the 25 best companies in Brazil participated. Business Leader Fernando Musa received the award on behalf of all Braskem Team Members.
The Valor 1000 ranking has been prepared by the Valor Econômico newspaper since 2000. The survey compiles the financial statements of the 1000 biggest companies ranked by net revenue in the previous year. Based on the scores in eight quantitative criteria, such as sustainable growth and business profitability, the leaders in each sector are ranked. In 2017, Braskem reported strong results, with consolidated net revenue of R$49.3 billion and record net income of R$4 billion.
Besides Braskem, companies such as Suzano Papel e Celulose, Ambev, Grendene and Telefônica Brasil were the winners.
