Odebrecht Foundation Wins Transparent NGO Seal
DATE: 12/19/2019
Recognition of the Doar Institute attests to the transparency of the information provided by the institution to society
The Odebrecht Foundation has just celebrated a major achievement: the obtainment of the Transparent NGO seal promoted by the Doar Institute. This is a recognition that attests to the transparency and ease of access of the information provided by the institution on the web. Only 82 NGOs in the country have this certification, received after evaluation of criteria such as the disclosure of Annual Reports and Accounting Statements.
“This seal further enhances our commitment to acting with ethics, integrity and transparency, always in search of the best governance practices in the sector. We relate with all stakeholders in a professional manner, demonstrating, through indicators and evidence, the results achieved and the correct application of resources,” says Fabio Wanderley, Superintendent of the Foundation.
Marcelo Estraviz, founder of the Doar Institute, exalted the certified institutions and the security they bring to their donors: “They have made an effort to show to any visitor of their website not only who they are, but their numbers, their goals, their team. More than ever we need NGOs like these: transparent in their actions, focused on their missions,” he said.
Created in 1965, the Odebrecht Foundation operates in regions of social vulnerability with the objective of promoting sustainable territorial development, with young people as the main agent of transformation. In 2019, more than 270 communities were benefited, totaling 22 municipalities served in the Baixo Sul region of Bahia and more than 13,000 direct and indirect beneficiaries.
In addition to the site www.fundacaoodebrecht.org.br , the Odebrecht Foundation is present on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.
