The solemnity, held on August 16, awarded the students with soldiers and lieutenants. The event was attended by Mayor Waldeli dos Santos Rosa, Internal Secretary of Social Assistance of Paulo Renato Adriani, Councilman Ailton Martins de Amorin, the President of the Security Council José Alcides Simplício and the Commander of the Environmental Military Police Lieutenant Marcílio Dias.
This year, Florestinha doubled the number of participating children and adolescents. Since its creation four years ago, more than 130 beneficiaries have benefited. The project is part of the Atvos Social Energy Program, which aims to promote local development and improve the quality of life of communities.
“It is gratifying to be part of an initiative that helps to train citizens who are aware of the importance of environmental preservation. Education is key to transforming the present and building a future of opportunities for new generations,” said Chafick Fair Luedy, head of People and Administration at the Taquari Center, which gathers Costa Rica and Alto Taquari units.
