In line with our policy of constantly keeping permanent and transparent dialogue with you, we are pleased to announce that we have concluded the planned succession process at Ocyan, our Group company that provides solutions for the oil & gas sector.

Roberto Bischoff, 63, currently Head of Competitiveness at Braskem, will be the new Business Leader of Ocyan, replacing Roberto Simões through the transition process that will take place during September 2019.

Bischoff has bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He has completed specialization programs in Materials Science from the same university and in General Management from Insead (France), and an MBA from Sociedade de Desenvolvimento Empresarial.

He has been working in the Odebrecht Group for 40 years, since the creation of Braskem, where he has held several positions. He was vice president of the Latin America Unit and CEO of Braskem Idesa, leading the setup of the Braskem petrochemical complex in Mexico. He has also served as business director of polyethylene and vinyls, CEO of Ipiranga Petroquímica, commercial director of basic petrochemicals, as well as director of raw materials and international project development.

Bischoff has all the qualifications and the confidence of Odebrecht to continue the management efforts of Roberto Simões and to start a new cycle of opportunities at Ocyan.

Roberto Simões, who leaves Ocyan after concluding a successful five-year cycle as Business Leader, will remain with the Odebrecht Group as a board member .

Under his leadership, Ocyan successful concluded a financial restructuring process in 2017, revamped its brand, recently signed the first agreement with Petrobras after its inclusion once again as a supplier, and attained productivity levels that are among the best registered by all the assets in operation for Petrobras.

We wish Roberto Bischoff good luck and success in his new challenge, and thank Roberto Simões for the results achieved at Ocyan.
