DATE: 08/21/2018
For the second straight year, the Costa Rica Unit has won the Ipê Trophy, in the Ethanol Plant category, given by the Commercial, Industrial and Agro-Pasture Association (Aciacri) of the city of Costa Rica. The purpose of the initiative is to recognize the work done by companies in promoting the social and economic development of the city.
Located in the city of Costa Rica since 2011, the unit is today responsible for creating 1,300 direct jobs and 3,900 indirect jobs in the region. The company also sponsors 15 social projects in the region through the Social Energy program, benefiting over 15,000 people. For Chafick Fair Luedy, the People and Administration manager of the Taquari Complex, the award confirms our commitment to the growth of the city. “One of Atvos values is taking care of people and the cities where we operate. We care not only about the well-being of our team members, but also of the society where we are present,” he said.
