Our Culture: “Survival, Growth and Perpetuity” Collection Now Available as an E-book

Contributing to expanding access to the Our Culture collection, the Norberto Odebrecht Foundation (FNO) has just launched the digital version of the “Survival, Growth and Perpetuity” collection, which systematizes the Odebrecht Entrepreneurial Technology (OET), written by Norberto Odebrecht. On Amazon’s website, it is possible to purchase the digital version of the e-book in Portuguese, in Kindle format, for reading on laptops, tablets, and smartphones.

All copyrights and revenue generated from sales are fully allocated by the Norberto Odebrecht Foundation to combating poverty and inequality through sustainable territorial development and education for rural youth.

For Ernesto Baiardi, Leader of the Odebrecht Engineering & Construction Business, experiencing culture in daily practice is essential through education by work. However, this learning must be complemented. “Books play this important role of deeply conveying the concepts and values that form the basis of our business model,” he explains.

“Survival, Growth and Perpetuity” – Originally published in 1983, the work was expanded in 1984 and revised over the years, with its latest updated version released in 2011. Like the printed edition, the e-book consists of three volumes. Volume I presents the principles, concepts, and philosophical criteria of OET, which underpin the Culture of the Novonor Group. Volume II addresses the process of formulating an Action Program (AP) focused on generating results within previously agreed timelines and costs. Volume III presents practical guidelines for executing this program and for the continuous pursuit of surpassing results within shorter timeframes and at lower costs.

Our Culture in Constant Evolution

This is the first edition adapted to a multi-screen format, which appeals to all age groups, especially future generations of entrepreneurs. “In addition to the generational perspective, the initiative makes the book available virtually at all times, with features that allow keyword searches, organization of highlighted excerpts, and easy sharing,” explains Rodrigo Vilar, Director of Communication and Marketing.

The e-book version of one of Norberto Odebrecht’s most important works is one of the Novonor Group’s advances to facilitate the assimilation and application of Our Culture, developed with inspiration from OET and bringing together the learnings and knowledge produced by several generations of entrepreneurs and teams. It encompasses the Group’s current Policies, the new Values that accompany societal transformation, the commitments undertaken, and Our Purpose.

In addition, at the end of 2024, the Teo chatbot was officially launched—a virtual assistant that uses artificial intelligence to provide access to the vast Our Culture collection. Available on the Our Memory portal within the corporate network, Teo is a powerful ally for learning about and interacting with Norberto Odebrecht’s work in an interactive and engaging way.
