Norberto Odebrecht Foundation receives, for the first time, the 2025 Sesi SDG Seal
DATE: 10/20/2025
The Norberto Odebrecht Foundation (FNO) has just been awarded, for the first time, the 2025 Sesi SDG Seal, granted by the Social Service of Industry (Sesi Paraná). The certification highlights institutions that develop initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and that effectively contribute to advancing the UN 2030 Agenda. The seal is granted after a rigorous evaluation process, considering criteria such as social impact, number of beneficiaries, results achieved, and evidence of transformation.
“This recognition is the result of the collective engagement of team members, partners, and communities, who share with us the purpose of building a fairer and more prosperous future for all,” says Ana Jaqueline Ferraz, member of the Social Partnerships area at FNO. Jonas Nogueira, Sustainability Coordinator, adds: “our commitment to sustainable development is part of our essence. That’s why we adopt contribution to the SDGs as a strategy across all our actions and constantly monitor the impacts generated.”
In 2024, PDCIS (Integrated and Sustainable Development and Growth Program), FNO’s main initiative, contributed directly to 14 of the 17 SDGs, supporting 49 of the 169 global targets. The program has been operating for over 20 years in the rural area of the Lower South of Bahia, a region marked by low Human Development Index indicators, with the purpose of promoting education, income generation, and environmental conservation in an integrated manner.
Every year, the Foundation implements the Monitoring and Evaluation Plan of the 2030 Agenda within the PDCIS, an initiative designed to track the indicators that contribute to meeting the global agenda. “With this strategy, we are able not only to evaluate the results of the program but also to adjust our actions to maximize our contribution to sustainable development,” Jonas concludes.
