Horiens Welcomes Students for 2025 Summer Internship
DATE: 07/28/2025
With the goal of fostering exchange and learning between different generations and amplifying young people’s connection with the insurance market, Horiens has just completed a new edition of its Summer Internship Program—a short-term experience during the university vacation period.
The 2025 edition featured the participation of Pedro Salomão de Almeida, a Business Administration student at St. Andrews University, and Tales Ruiz Ferreira da Costa, who studies Business Administration at Evangel University.
Between June and July 2025, Pedro and Tales explored various business areas of the company, focusing on gaining insight into Horiens’ strategy and operations in support of major clients across different market sectors.
During their time with each team, the students took part in key daily routines, gaining firsthand experience with industry challenges such as claims handling and technical inspections at client sites.
“This immersion broadens horizons for both the young students , who get to experience the dynamics and challenges of the insurance sector up close ,and the company, that benefits from fresh perspectives and contributions. It’s a truly enriching practice”, highlights Fernanda Antonelli, Director of People, Communication, and Marketing at Horiens.

“It was very interesting to observe the strong relationships between people, the intense interaction across departments, and how much that impacts the daily results. I was also surprised by the strength and relevance of this sector, which I hadn’t known before. It was a great experience that will definitely contribute to my graduation, without a doubt!”
— Pedro Salomão de Almeida
“I loved the time I spent with the Horiens teams and thank everyone for their dedication. Experiences like working at Risk Labs, where technology and business come together—my field of study at university—or visiting a client’s infrastructure and concessions site, made me feel truly part of the company.”
