Norberto Odebrecht Foundation higlighted in Forbes Brazil ESG special edition

The Norberto Odebrecht Foundation  is recognized as a reference in sustainability in the special ESG edition of Forbes Brasil magazine, launched this Thursday, 29th. The printed publication highlights the Foundation’s work with its own Prgram, the PDCIS , an initiative that, since 2003, has impacted nearly 700,000 people.

In the article titled “Building Sustainable Pillars,” the magazine analyzes how companies in the construction sector have taken an active stance in the face of socio-environmental challenges, pointing out the importance of genuine commitments to the future of the planet and improving living conditions in communities. In this scenario, Norberto Odebrecth Foundation stands out as the social arm of the Novonor Group, which has Odebrecht Engineering & Construction as its main business, being presented on page 57 as an example of consistent and integrated results.

“Agricultural activity is the central axis and is worked to promote the economic front, generate income for families through the rational use of natural resources and in harmony with the environment, with sustainable and low-carbon management,” reports Cristiane Nascimento, director of the Foundation, in a statement to the magazine.

The PDCIS, structured in six interconnected fronts focusing on human, social, and environmental components, has its results presented in the report: more than 2,000 young people graduated from high school integrated with technical education in agribusiness, agriculture, and forestry; and, in 2024, R$ 23 million invested by partners for the program, whose actions reached 20 municipalities in Bahia and Rio de Janeiro. The article is concluded with plans for international expansion of this sustainable action model to Angola, one of the 38 countries where the Novonor Group operates.
