For the third year running, the Norberto Odebrecht Foundation (FNO) has been certified with the Doar A+ Seal, the highest rating awarded by the Social Certifier – formerly Doar Institute – to non-governmental organizations in Brazil that meet high standards of management and transparency. “This recognition is not just a symbol of excellence, but validation of the entire team’s tireless commitment to ethics and effectiveness in all our processes and areas of activity,” comments Ana Jaqueline Ferraz, a member of FNO’s Partnerships department.

The seal, which for 12 years has been certifying organizations in two categories – A and A+, the latter being the highest classification – is awarded after a careful assessment. The process includes the analysis of essential requirements in strategic areas such as Accounting and Finance, Management, Governance, Accountability, Communication and Human Resources.

Since 2022, the institution has been certified in the A+ category, which attests to the excellence of its processes

In the 2024 edition, the Social Certifier included four new criteria in the assessment, all of which were fully met by the Foundation: compliance with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD – Law No. 13,709/2018), conducting volunteer work in compliance with the legislation, the existence of a whistleblowing channel and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda.

“Being attested for the seriousness with which we conduct our initiatives in favor of sustainable territorial development and social transformation is something that, in addition to making us very happy, indicates that our efforts and essence are based on solid values,” adds Adelcio Sousa, responsible for the Partnerships area at FNO.

Jaqueline also points out that the Doar Seal “represents something much greater than a certificate of quality”. For her, this achievement reinforces the credibility of the institutions that have received it, and consequently helps to attract new social investors and institutional partners. “The certificate symbolizes the trust that society as a whole places in us. It’s proof that we’re on the right track,” she concludes.
