Piero Marianetti and Novonor: a remarkable history of partnership

On its 80th anniversary, the Group is revisiting its history, which began with the vision and courageous entrepreneurial action of Norberto Odebrecht and his first-generation partners. With this inspiration, on April 3, at the company’s headquarters in São Paulo, Piero Marianetti received the symbolic sculpture of the Root, as a tribute from the Group’s shareholders for his important career and contribution.

“When I was very young, I began to accompany my father on visits to Odebrecht construction projects to begin to understand what a company was and how it worked. Piero is always present in the good memories I have of that time”, said Emílio Odebrecht during the tribute ceremony.

An engineer by training, Piero, as he is affectionately known, started out as a trainee at the age of 20 and then took on key programs for the development of the construction company, mainly in the engineering area, while also leaving a personal mark on the formation of people.

Piero Marianetti completes 75 years of contributions to the Group in April, a milestone shared here in Novonor Notícias in the form of an interview conducted in February of this year, as well as a digital book that brings together photos of memorable moments and testimonials from some of his companions on the journey.
