Young people transform innovation that won the Destaque Award into training for the entire OR
DATE: 03/07/2025
OR members Ana Carolina Medrado, Gabrielle Vieira, Paulo Chaves and Rafael Santana, developed an Artificial Intelligence (AI) project that turned into comprehensive training for all the company’s Product Development teams. The initiative went further and earned OR the Novonor Group’s Outstanding Achievement Award, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and continuous development.
The project’s trajectory began with interns Rafael and Gabrielle realizing the potential of generative AIs in their day-to-day work. “Ever since we joined OR, we felt a strong incentive to share knowledge and constantly innovate. With this vision and following the growth of generative artificial intelligences, we began to use them almost organically in our sector,” says Rafael.
Over time, the productivity gains became evident and the duo received positive feedback from their leaders. However, they identified that the use of AIs was not yet structured throughout the Product Development (PD) sector and decided to take action. With the support of ORIGEN (OR’s internship program) and the encouragement of the Destaque Award, they developed a practical manual and a workshop that made the knowledge accessible to everyone.
The first phase of the training has already been a success in Pernambuco, and now the teams in São Paulo are starting to receive the content. In addition, the manual is constantly being updated, incorporating new tools and feedback collected through forms and a collaborative forum.
The next step in the project is ambitious: to expand the use of generative AIs to other OR sectors, mapping the most appropriate tools for each function and scaling up knowledge sharing.
