DATE: 03/11/2025
On February 12th, members of the Fluminense core of the Brazilian Association of Geology (ABGE), including the president of the entity, Rodrigo França, made a technical visit to the road tunnel under construction in the Campo Grande neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, where OEC is executing the Road Connection and Ring Road projects. The visit was attended by around 25 people, including geologists, civil engineers, environmental professionals, and students, all invited by ABGE.
The visit aimed to provide participants with a technical and enriching experience, allowing direct contact with a project of great relevance to national engineering and geology. Visitors were able to learn about the stages of tunnel construction, as well as observe the application of construction techniques and project challenges.
The communication team of the Rio de Janeiro City Hall was also present at the visit, which was accompanied by OEC members Lucio Rosa (Mining Engineer), Mylena Daccache (Geologist), Arthur Siqueira (Production Coordinator), and Mariante Brito (responsible for Communication in Rio de Janeiro).
