Third OEC JOB group to start in August
DATE: 07/27/2023
The third OEC JOB group shall start in August this year. The OEC JOB is a training program designed for future leaders and specialized professionals, focused on enhancing and consolidating competencies aligned with Our Culture at OEC.
The second group, concluded in March, was attended by 50 young people from different locations in Brazil, Angola, Peru and Panama, who had access to 39 classes, distributed in two online modules and one face-to-face module. The latter marked the return of a traditional practice of the company, the “conversa ao pé da fogueira” (campfire talk), an opportunity in which the CEO of Novonor, Héctor Núñez, and the Business Leader of OEC, Mauricio Cruz, were present to answer questions from the participants and share their life and career experiences.
At the end of the program, six projects were presented in which the young participants proposed innovative solutions to challenges presented by internal experts of the company. The theme of the winning group stands out: inclusion of people with disabilities on construction sites. The group presented their proposal to the Diversity & Inclusion committee of OEC, and they are currently continuing with the project’s implementation. The remaining projects also have the potential to be implemented in the future, demonstrating the relevance of the ideas generated during OEC JOB.
“OEC’s commitment to empower our talents to become outstanding leaders and highly skilled experts remains unwavering and with the aim that the next class will achieve even greater success and impact,” says Juliana Lima, project coordinator.
