The Odebrecht S.A. Macrostructure Has Changed. Learn more!

Are you already familiar with the Odebrecht S.A. macrostructure? The new portions include the unification of Odebrecht Engineering & Construction – Infrastructure and Odebrecht Engineering & Construction – Industrial into a single Business, called Odebrecht Engineering & Construction, headed by Fábio Januário.

Another change is the extinction of the water, sanitation, and environmental Business, called Foz, and the naval construction Business, called ECN. The new macro structure also emphasizes the nomination of new independent Board members for Odebrecht Engineering & Construction, for Atvos (formerly Odebrecht Agroindustrial), for OR (former Odebrecht Real Estate Developments), and the other members of the Boards of Directors from all Leading Business Companies.

In the Dynamic Organization of the Odebrecht S.A. Managing Director (DP-ODB OD), Marcela Drehmer, Head of Functional Finance Support (RAF), is now also responsible for Functional Investment Support. Another change is that the new macrostructure makes the work of the Odebrecht Global Council and nomination of its members official.

The changes reflect the decision by shareholders, released on December 15 in an official statement, and the new Odebrecht S.A. Policy on Governance. Additionally, they entail a new strategic focus, one that aims to maintain a balanced portfolio of financially and operationally self-sufficient Businesses with their own governance, capable of creating solid foundations to resume growth and remunerate the holding’s capital.
