Atvos participates in 11th National Bioenergy Congress

At the 11^th National Bioenergy Congress, organized by the Bioenergy Producers Union (UDOP) in Araçatuba (SP) on August 1 and 2, Atvos team members took part in technical debates about the sugar and ethanol industry.  The goal was to broaden the knowledge among participants and foster the exchange of information between executives and representatives from different players in the sector. The event was divided into 13 thematic rooms, in which issues such as Communication, Agribusiness Law, Mechanization, Procurement and others were discussed.

Besides participating in the debates, Atvos set up a booth to provide information about the company as well as its training and career development programs. “The UDOP Congress is a benchmark in the exchange of knowledge, and so we encourage our team members to participate in this traditional event, which is already a reference in the sector. More than 100 Atvos team members from all our complexes and the two administrative offices, participated in the event and gained valuable knowledge with the content of the lectures and debates. Now we are instructing everyone to return to their units and become multiplying agents for their team members or even their colleagues,” explains Genésio Lemos Couto, Vice President of People, Sustainability and Communication.

?Also during the event, our Corporate Affairs Director, Amaury Pekelman, took charge as the new chairman of UDOP for the two-year term 2018/2020. For him, the challenge of leading an entity of the magnitude and history of UDOP is a great honor. “We have come to join efforts to further strengthen UDOP as an organization that provides services for its associates and the sector as a whole, especially in transmitting knowledge,” he highlighted.
