3rd OEC JOB class welcomes OEC and Novonor presidents for the last module of the program
DATE: 06/03/2024
Last month, the 3rd class of the OEC JOB, OEC’s global program focused on the development of trainees and analysts, was completed. During four modules, the 35 “Jobbers”, a group made up of members from Brazil, Angola, Peru and Panama, took part in an immersion in Our Culture and the Business Task.
More than 80 hours of training were given by 45 in-house specialists, as well as the participation of the Norberto Odebrecht Foundation and Vice-Admiral Sydney Neves, Prosub’s general coordinator, representing one of our Clients.
The last module of this edition was also attended by Héctor Núñez, CEO of Novonor, and Maurício Cruz Lopes, CEO of OEC. During the meeting, the leaders talked to the participants about the future of the OEC and answered questions.
Talking about some of the integral values of Our Culture, Núñez pointed out that “ethics is very important to us. Transparency is necessary to satisfy our customers. Our Spirit of Service has ethics, but it also involves having the discipline of innovation”. He pointed out that, for him, all of Nossa Cultura’s values are important and make the company what it is today. “At the time that Dr. Norberto [Odebrecht] was at the helm, he was already expressing the great importance, in a broad sense, of sustainability. This value is of great importance here at the company and always has been, and we will always continue to innovate in this area,” said Maurício Cruz about one of OEC’s pillars since it was founded 80 years ago.
In addition to the virtual meetings, the Jobbers were given the challenge of putting their knowledge into practice by developing an integrated project. Two groups competed against each other in the study of a real pre-proposal. In addition to the engineering exercise involved in the case, they had to exercise an interdisciplinary approach involving aspects of People, Finance, Innovation, Logistics, Quality and ESG. At the end of the challenge resolution presentation, a panel of company leaders assessed the work and selected the winners.
Now the Jobbers continue their development in the OEC by applying what they have learned in the program, with the support of their leaders and getting down to work!
