Wash your hands properly and be safe!
DATE: 03/18/2020
Washing our hands frequently and correctly is one of the most effective ways to prevent viruses and bacteria, including the new Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The cleaning process needs to last at least 20 seconds and includes soaping, scrubbing, thumb and wrist cleaning, rinsing and drying on a clean towel or paper.
Do you know how to do it properly? Check the steps below!
Open the tap and wet your hands, avoid touching the sink.
Apply enough liquid soap on the palm of your hand.
Soak the palms of your hands, by rubbing them together.
Rub the palm of your right hand against the back of your left hand, interlacing your fingers, and vice versa.
Interlace your fingers and rub the spaces between them.
Rub the back of the fingers of one hand with the palm of the opposite hand, with back and forth movements.
Rub your left thumb with the aid of the right palm with circular movements, and vice versa.
Rub the tips of your fingers and nails on the palm of your hand with circular movements. Rub your fist with circular movements.
Rinse your hands, removing soap residue. Avoid touching the tap.
Dry your hands with single-use paper towel.
And remember to rub alcohol gel on the entire surface of your hand. Let it dry.
Important
Alcohol gel is considered by the health authorities as an alternative to hand-washing only for times where there is no water and soap. The product may not work when the hands are very dirty or oily. To apply the alcohol gel, put an amount equivalent to one teaspoon on the palm of one hand and rub them both, back and palm, including fingers and wrists; allow to dry.
