During the meeting, participants had access to data on the topic, reflections, and practical guidance, with emphasis on the dissemination of reporting channels and internal support protocols. Fernanda Kerley, Work Safety Technician, spoke about the importance of awareness. “We believe that transformation begins with awareness. By involving the Internal Accident Prevention Commission, we expand the reach of this message and strengthen the collective commitment to the values that guide our actions: respect for people, ethics in relationships, and social responsibility,” Fernanda emphasized, reaffirming the company’s role in promoting a fair and welcoming workplace.

About the “Agosto Lilás”

Lilac August is a nationwide awareness campaign in Brazil held throughout August, dedicated to combating violence against women. Its goal is to inform, prevent, and mobilize society to recognize, report, and confront all forms of gender-based violence, including physical, psychological, moral, sexual, and patrimonial violence.

The month´s choice is linked to the enactment of the “Maria da Penha” Law (Law No. 11.340/2006), which was signed on August 7. This law created legal mechanisms to protect women who are victims of domestic and family violence, establishing measures for prevention, assistance, and punishment of aggressors.

During “Agosto Lilás”, public agencies, companies, schools, and institutions promote educational campaigns, lectures, debates, and awareness actions, reinforcing the importance of respect, equality, and protection of women’s rights.
