OEC opens applications for Summer Internships

Applications for 2022 edition of the OEC Summer Internship start today, September 23. There are 63 opportunities in offices and construction sites in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Bahia for students as of the third semester of the Civil Engineering programs (25 positions), Mechanical Engineering (10), Electrical Engineering (7)Environmental Engineering (3)Automation Engineering (1)Business Administration (9), Accounting (4) Computer Science/I.T. (2), Architecture (1) and Psychology (1).
Those interested should apply through the website bit.ly/estagioOEC2022 and those selected will start supervised activities from January 3, 2022. In addition to the R$1,595.00 stipend, interns will be entitled to meal or food vouchers at the local cafeteria, transport vouchers or local transport – varying by city – and life insurance.
The OEC’s Vacation Internship program celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2021. During this period, more than 317,000 undergraduates have already applied for the vacancies offered and more than 1,200 had the opportunity to do an internship at the OEC. The activities take place during the academic vacation period and last for one month, and may be renewed for another month. There is also the possibility of evolving to a Regular Internship, expanding the journey to up to two years and expanding the chances of building a career at the OEC.
According to Ludmila Lavigne, Director of People and Planning at OEC, the new edition of the Vacation Internship program reinforces the company’s position on Diversity & Inclusion, seeking to attract young people from minority groups, whether in relation to gender, skin color, sexual orientation or socioeconomic status. “Our Culture is based on humanistic values. Rio de Janeiro – 24 places: Students will have the opportunity to work on the Prosub project, which builds five submarines to modernize the Brazilian Navy’s fleet – 4 places for Civil Engineering, 2 for Mechanics, 2 for Electrical, 1 for Environmental and 1 for Architecture; and at the Santa Cruz Thermoelectric Plant, which is undergoing modernization to operate from the end of the combined cycle – 3 for Electrical Engineering, 3 for Mechanics, 1 for Automation Engineering and 1 for Accounting.
Minas Gerais – 20 vacancies: there are three works in progress in the state. The vacancies are divided between the construction works of basic health units for the Municipality of Belo Horizonte, in PPP model – 9 vacancies for Civil Engineering, 2 for Administration and 1 for Environmental Engineering; a drug factory under construction in the city of Montes Claros – 2 places for Civil Engineering and 2 for Administration; and the new water supply system in Montes Claros – 2 places for Civil Engineering and 2 for Mechanics.
São Paulo – 10 vacancies: In São Paulo, we will have vacancies to work at the OEC office, in Parque da Cidade, South zone. There are 2 vacancies for Administration, 2 for Computer Science/IT, 2 for Accounting Sciences, 1 for Civil Engineering and 1 for Psychology. At the base of the Petrochemicals Project, in Santo André, we will have 1 seat for Mechanical Engineering and 1 for Electrical Engineering.
Santa Catarina – 5 vacancies: In Santa Catarina, the selected students will work in the company’s most recent achievement in the country, the Terminal Gás Sul. There will be 2 vacancies for Civil Engineering, 2 for Administration and 1 for Environmental Engineering.
Bahia – 4 vacancies: The Bahia vacancies are to work in industrial maintenance activities in the petrochemical area, being 2 for Mechanical Engineering, 1 for Electrical and 1 for Administration.
