NT2E 2025, the largest business and technology event in the Brazilian nuclear sector, will take place from May 20 to 22 at ExpoMag in Rio de January and will integrate themes of innovation, technology and sustainability. Organized by ABDAN, the event, in trade fair format, will bring together the main players in the market to present news, discuss challenges and explore opportunities in various sectors with the support of some sponsoring companies, such as Odebrecht Engineering and construction.
NT2E 2025 will be attended by political authorities and representatives from strategic ministries such as the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), as well as industry and business leaders such as: Mikhail Chudakov, Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Nuclear Energy at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), as well as Henri Paillere, Head of the Planning and Economic Studies Section, and Bianca Carpinelli, Associate Coordination Officer in the Division of Planning, Information and Knowledge Management at the Department of Nuclear Energy. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi will also be present with a remote participation.
The event will also be attended by Maria Korsnick, president of the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI), Derek Novak, vice-president of the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Julián Gadano, director of the Nuclear Studies and Innovation Program at the Universidad Tres de Febrero, and Rita Baranwal, senior vice-president of Westinghouse, among other experts in the sector.

Nuclear Energy Hackathon
Registration is now open for Hackapower 2025, the main innovation hackathon in the nuclear sector, promoted by ABDAN. The competition starts at NT2E and runs until November, with the final at Nuclear Legacy. Students from all over Brazil can register until May 9, regardless of their major.
The hackathon challenges participants to develop innovative solutions in energy, sustainability and food preservation, with the support of specialized mentors. The winning projects will be presented at Nuclear Legacy, highlighting the impact of nuclear technology on sustainable development.
