DATE: 07/22/2022
Origen Program – which integrates and develops trainees at OR, has the 1st cycle of projects presented to the company’s Executive Committee.
Launched in August 2021, The Origen Program aims at to identify and train the future generation of OR integrants aligned with Our Culture, that is, with our DNA. At the same time, the Program aims at to provide young people with their first professional experiences, so that they can develop their potential and talents. Another focus of the Origen Program is to renovate work environment with new ideas and practices, which is why it was designed with a Project module, which challenges young people and their leader to apply in the context of their PA an improvement to the OR’s processes and management.
Between the months of March and July 2022 the trainees with more than 12 months of internship at OR made their presentations to the Board of Directors and BL, Eduardo Pedreira. With protagonism and creativity, these youngsters worked on the Projects in sub-themes related to digital transformation, efficiency, productivity, and ESG (environmental, social, and governance practices), always applied to the reality of their PAs, even if it was necessary for the trainee to influence the leader so that the theme became part of the area’s scope. Check out the projects below (only in portuguese).
During the presentations there were immense contributions and provocations from the leaders. For the BL, Eduardo Pedreira, bringing a young trainee, who is close to the client and the pains of the Line was of immense value to OR and its Businesses, so much so that many projects have started to integrate OR’s PA monitoring and will reach national scope, being integrated into the governance, guidelines, and procedures of the projects. Pedreira emphasizes “It’s an initiative that can’t stop, we now have the challenge of seeing these projects implemented and measuring the results.”
Trainee Barbara Prata gave her testimonial about how was the process of presenting her project: “Presenting Origen for me was a great challenge. Firstly, understanding what the topic would be, as I didn’t want to talk about just any topic, I wanted to bring innovation in a practical and applicable manner. So, I tried to understand what, within my own work routine, could be optimized. Today, I have been working to implement my suggestion, challenging myself more and more in the search for what is best for the company as a whole. Presenting Origen for me meant the courage to expose myself, and share my ideas; and now I have the opportunity to implement them.”
Fernanda Hegeer, leader of trainee Marcio Campelo, says that seeing the end of this first cycle brings hope and a sense of renewal for the future leaders we are forming, she emphasizes “it’s gratifying to see the potential of young people in bringing innovations to be implemented to improve productivity and enhance our results. It was very enriching to follow the evolution process of the Program and the maturing of the ideas, in order to really look for something useful to be applied in our daily lives, which brings a great sense of belonging to these trainees. The program brought the possibility for young people to establish new connections and exchange experiences, look from different perspectives, besides promoting excellent exposure in front of the whole company, with the concretization of the project presentation.”
Member of the Executive Committee, Lara Sorensen, responsible for New Digital Business at OR, talks about her experience with Origen’s presentations: “Each topic, without exception, brought some new learning, either by delving into specific topics related to the incorporation business, or by meeting potential talent, who showed commitment and dedication to their PAs and a sparkle in their eyes to join the OR team.”
