Last week, the Legacy construction site was the stage for the resumption of the Women on Site Program, an initiative that reaffirms OR’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and female empowerment in the workplace—especially in a sector historically dominated by men, such as civil construction.
The program aims not only to open doors but to offer real and qualified opportunities for more women to work and grow in different areas of the construction site. In this new phase, we welcomed three new team members, hired for the civil, electrical, and hydraulic areas. All of them participated in the Marias da Construção Training Program, promoted by Senai, our partner in this important journey of recruitment and development.
The professionals underwent a complete onboarding process, which included orientation with the People department, integration with the Quality area, Health, Safety at Work and Environment , familiarization with site supervisors, and immersion in the daily routines of the construction site—ensuring they are well-prepared and welcomed to perform their roles.
The reactivation of the program at Legacy represents more than just hiring new team members: it marks a milestone in strengthening the female presence on OR’s construction sites and serves as an incentive for more women to find in construction a space to grow, contribute, and transform the sector with their talent and competence.
