DATE: 08/24/2023
At the beginning of August, the recertification of OEC’s health and safety management system once again reaffirmed the company’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding individuals within its operations. The validation, materialized by the recommendation granted by Bureau Veritas through the issuance of the company’s new ISO 45001:2018 certificates, coupled with the certification of its ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system, also renewed earlier this year, represent OEC’s readiness to deliver consistent contributions to the promotion of sustainable development.
“OEC recently completed the external audit process for all its projects. The result of this audit attested to the conformity of the processes checked, making a strong contribution to the recertification of the management system applied globally by the company. Together we are stronger, we build the present to transform the future,” says Paulo Cintra, Sustainability Manager.
The practice guided by the ISO 14001 standard demonstrates the company’s commitment to minimizing its environmental impact, promoting sustainable and responsible practices throughout all its operations. Aligned with ISO 45001, OEC’s actions emphasize the company’s commitment to safety and the well-being of individuals, manifested through secure and healthy work environments, where the lives, physical and mental integrity, and rights of all are consistently respected and promoted.
The current certificates, valid until 2027, are added to the trajectory underlined by 25 years of certified operation, reinforcing the stability and consistency of the company’s practices. Concrete testimonials of the dedication of all workers, showcasing the prioritization and urgency established for the advancement of sustainability performance within the company.
