Board of Directors appoints new OEC president

At a Board of Directors’* meeting held on Tuesday (09), Marco Siqueira’s appointment as the new president of OEC – Odebrecht Engineering & Construction was unanimously approved. Up until this moment, Siqueira worked in civil construction as the business leader of the developer OR, where he played a central role in overcoming major challenges in the last three years, such as the extensive financial restructuring process and the full implementation, with the supervision of external monitors, of the new Compliance Program, whose robustness is recognized by the company’s interest groups. Other positive highlights were the 20 real estate projects delivered, asset sales exceeding US$ 500 million, in addition to the resumption of launches of residential projects.

Marco Siqueira (42) is from the city of São Paulo, graduated in architecture and urbanism from the Fine Arts College in São Paulo, has a master’s in Real Estate Development from the University of New York, and started his career 20 years ago in retail real estate development and shopping centers at Guararapes Group. In 2007, upon returning from his master’s degree, he joined Tishman Speyer for one year, before joining the Odebrecht Group in 2008.

The executive will take over OEC finding the construction company with governance systems similar to that of publicly traded companies and with its teams in Brazil and abroad reevaluated and prepared to meet the challenge of resuming growth. The company currently has projects in seven countries: Brazil, Angola, Peru, the United States, Ghana, Panama and the Dominican Republic. During 2019, seven projects were completed and delivered to clients and the portfolio renewed with the expansion or attainment of new contracts, in the total amount of US$ 335 million, ending the period with a total backlog of US$ 3.4 billion.

Incorporadora OR appoints Eduardo Pedreira FOR president

In a meeting of the Board of Directors, held this Tuesday (9), Eduardo Pedreira’s appointment for president of OR incorporator was approved, Odebrecht Group’s real estate arm, replacing Marco Siqueira, who received an invitation to act as president of OEC, a construction company of the same Group.

Eduardo Pedreira (43) is from Bahia, with a degree in civil engineering from the Federal University of Bahia and graduated in corporate finance and project management at Fundação Getúlio Vargas. For 4 years he leads OR in the Northeast and has 21 years of experience in the real estate development, with active participation in the development of more than 20 OR projects.

With a presence in six states and three works in progress, OR has delivered more than 30 developments in recent years and after a delicate moment in the real estate market, Eduardo Pedreira will have the challenge of directing the company again towards growth.

According to the executive, one of his priorities will be to put into practice a business strategy that enables the launching of new projects in the short term, not forgetting the sustainability and quality of OR’s developments, characteristics already recognized by the market
