Odebrecht Discusses Compliance with Partners and Families
DATE: 09/20/2017
A pilot project implemented by the Odebrecht Office in Salvador (EOBA) strengthened its dialogue with suppliers and members’ families to talk about a highly recurring theme for the Group lately: Compliance.
What have we done to win back the trust and respect of society? This and other questions were part of two meetings held in the Bahia capital. On September 14, the Odebrecht S.A. Communication team welcomed 123 representatives from 81 partner companies to talk about Odebrecht’s current phase and the changes being implemented to promote more ethical, upstanding, and transparent conduct during our operations. On September 16, 90 relatives of Odebrecht Group members gathered in Bahia to discuss the topic. The two meetings were led by Cristina Lepikson, Compliance Coordinator at Odebrecht S.A.
For Carlos Linhares, from the company Linhares Monteiro Desenvolvimento Humano, Odebrecht is experiencing a moment of heightened clarity. “The event was an innovative step forward, courageous, nearly a rite of passage,” he said.
