Novonor Presents Priority Infrastructure Demands at the 2nd Forum of Large Industries of Bahia

At the end of May, Novonor, represented by the  RIG area, attended the 2nd Forum of Large Industries of Bahia, promoted by the FIEB. The event was attended by authorities from the Executive and Legislative branches, such as the State Secretary of Finance, Manoel Vitório Filho.

During the meeting, Novonor was the speaker for the Infrastructure Working Group (GT Infra), highlighting the priority agenda of the state’s large industries. Marcelo Gentil presented the current scenario of the sector, emphasizing the need for maintenance of existing infrastructures, as well as their modernization and expansion to boost Bahia’s economic growth.

“The Forum was a great opportunity, on behalf of the companies that make up GT Infra, to present the scenario and priority infrastructure projects that will be advocated by FIEB in its dialogue with stakeholders. Ultimately, the goal of the listed projects is to equip the State with increasingly modern, safe infrastructure compatible with Bahia’s territorial extension, favoring better competitiveness and a growing business environment,” says Gentil.

The Forum also served as a platform for presenting proposals and demands from other working groups, addressing topics such as Sustainability, Fiscal and Tax Aspects, and Promising Production Chains, the latter having its results and recommendations presented by Carlos Alfano, Industrial Director of Braskem in Bahia.
