Héctor Núñez is the new CEO of Novonor S.A., Novonor Group’s holding, a Brazilian global company with more than 23 thousand employees in 13 countries. The new Novonor’s CEO is a Cuban-American, and has been living in Brazil for more than 20 years. The executive was the vice-president of operations at Coca-Cola in many countries, and the president of Walmart and Ri Happy in Brazil. José Mauro is with the Group since 2019, and now concludes an important cycle, complying with all stages of Novonor SA’s Court-Supervised Reorganization Plan in progress, laying down the foundations for the Group’s resumption of growth in 2022-2024, grounded on engineering and construction.
Changes also at OEC, Group’s construction company
Last March 2, Héctor Núñez has become the Chairman of the Board of Directors of OEC, the Group’s engineering and construction business, replacing José Mauro Carneiro da Cunha, who still remains as a member of the board together with eight members, composed of two women, and three independent members. Héctor already had a chair at the Board since October 2021.
Last year, OEC’s project portfolio grew substantially, with an increase of R$ 4.2 billion in new contracts. The company counts more than 3 thousand works in several countries. In the past months, Novonor and OEC received important governance quality and conformity management certificates, such as the International ISO 37001 Stamp, for all operations in Brazil and abroad.
