  • Launch event symbolizes the beginning of the activities of the new International Airport of Cabinda

    On May 19, 2023, an event was held to lay the foundation stone and sign the Contract Consignment Record, symbolizing the start of the activities of the new Cabinda International Airport (NAIC). The event was attended by the Minister of Transportation and the Governor of Cabinda, as well as representatives of OEC, Designer, and Oversight for the Project.

    The New International Airport of Cabinda (NAIC), will meet the province’s air transportation demand by 2036, with a flow of 700 domestic and 500 international passengers per peak hour. The contract for the construction, supply, equipment installation and equipping of the NAIC was won by OEC in the second half of 2022, with an execution period of 48 months. The project will start in the first half of 2023 and will generate 1,500 direct and indirect jobs, 95% of which will be Angolan.
