For attorney Wilson Busanello – member of Odebrecht Engineering & Construction – Infrastructure and a participant of the program since its creation –, it is great to know that his financial contribution is helping train adolescents so that they can become rural entrepreneurs. “We are helping to train them, generating income and establishing these people in the rural zone with citizenship and respect for the environment,” said Busanello.
How can you contribute? There are two ways: one is through spontaneous donation and another through tax incentive (income tax-deductible donation). The funds raised are directed toward Municipal Funds for the Rights of Children and Adolescents and transferred to social-educational projects. Farmer Roseane Conceição, age 20, has put into practice everything she learned when she was a beneficiary of Tribute to the Future two years ago. Today, she plants and sells banana, manioc and yucca as part of a project developed with funds raised through the initiative.
Conceição re-invested what she earned during the first harvest in new production cycles. “With the profits I earned, I expanded my production area,” she revealed. “Today, I consider myself a rural entrepreneur,” said the smiling youth trained at the Presidente Tancredo Neves Rural Family Home (CFR-PTN).
All of the projects supported by the Tribute to the Future Program – New Generations are implemented by institutions that are part of the Odebrecht Foundation’s Program for Development and Growth Integrated with Sustainability (PDCIS).
