Horiens attended the 6th Brazilian Congress on Tunnels and Underground Structures, held yesterday (12/03) in São Paulo (SP). The event, organized by the Brazilian Tunnelling Committee , brought together experts, companies and professionals from the sector to discuss the impact of sustainable practices on the construction and development of underground infrastructure.

Our members Marcio Santos and Ricardo Celestino attended the event, gathering new knowledge, experiences and insights on the subject. Marcio, head of Risk Labs, also took part in the panel “Contractual Practices and Insurance”, highlighting the importance of a structured approach to risk management in large-scale projects. Alongside specialists from the sector, during the debate he addressed the need for a careful analysis of insurance programs, with a view to ensuring greater efficiency and security in construction contracts. In addition, the panel featured in-depth discussions on innovations in the allocation of geological-geotechnical risks, an essential topic for mitigating uncertainties and optimizing project results.

Throughout the congress, experts shared trends, new technologies and key processes for the advancement of tunnel and underground structure engineering, highlighting the importance of sustainable practices and innovative solutions for the sector.
