The Norberto Odebrecht Foundation was one of the speakers at the 17th ABCR Festival, the largest fundraising event in Latin America, held on June 16 and 17 at the Frei Caneca Convention Center in São Paulo (SP). The event, that celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Brazilian Association of Fundraisers, brought together organizations and experts to discuss trends, best practices, and strategies that strengthen resource mobilization in the Third Sector.
Representing the foudation, Adelcio Sousa, Partnerships Coordinator, presented the lecture “The power of volunteering in creating donor communities,” highlighting how collective engagement can transform realities and strengthen the culture of giving. On this occasion, he shared the experience of the VOCÊ (you) program, a volunteering initiative by Odebrecht E&C developed in partnership with the Foundation, as a practical example of mobilization and social impact.
“It was a special moment to showcase what we do with the volunteer programs we maintain with the Novonor Group businesses. We exchanged a lot with the audience, who were curious and interacted a lot, wanting to know more. It was a very special day,” celebrated Adelcio.
The Rural Family House of Igrapiúna (CFR-I), a partner school in the execution of PDCIS, a foundation’s social program aimed at territorial development, also participated in the event. “This day is beeing grand. There are several lectures and topics focused on fundraising, which is very important for the Family House projects. We are learning a lot, and this will already guide our next steps for resource mobilization,” highlighted Aline Pinheiro, the institution’s director.
