Foundation project approved to receive donations on international platform
DATE: 02/22/2024
As a result of the Partnerships department’s efforts to diversify the FNO’s sources of funding and broaden its scope of action, we won an important space of visibility this week: the “Dignity and economic autonomy for rural women” project, structured on the basis of PDCIS practices, was approved by GlobalGiving, an international crowdfunding platform aimed at supporting NGOs around the world.
By joining, any person or institution, including those from outside the country, can make a donation and help us reach the goal of US$ 203,106, the total value of the project which aims to bring more dignity, food security and economic autonomy to 100 rural women living in rural communities in the Atlantic Forest.
Our application took place in July 2023 and went through a rigorous selection process that took into account aspects such as: history, relevance of the projects developed, level of social impact, engagement of the community involved, scalability of the actions, as well as robustness, administrative and financial structure. With this approval, we now occupy an important space in a showcase that is recognized on the international stage.
