Fitch upgrades OEC and Moody’s announces a positive evaluation in the financial market

Fitch, one of the three largest credit rating agencies in the world,  has upgraded Odebrecht Engineering & Construction from “C” to “CC”, taking into consideration the company’s recent capitalization promoted by its shareholder Odebrecht S.A., and making viable the payment of BRL 500 million in bonds, which matured on April 25.

In addition, Moody’s, another of the main agencies, announced a positive grade, highlighting that OEC had honored its payments to international creditors and “decreased short-term liquidity pressure”, improving the company’s creditworthiness.
