Exhibition shares Odebrecht’s trajectory with Brazilian and Bahia cultures
DATE: 03/16/2020
As of March/2020, the public can visit an exhibition that gathers several cultural manifestations from Bahia and Brazil. The initiative undertaken by Odebrecht Group shares artistic products supported by the organization. The exhibition takes place at OR Experience store, located at Hangar Business Park in Salvador, and is available to the public for free.
The Group’s tradition dates back to the 1950s, when they began investing in culture. More than 300 books have already been released by the company, like a precious edition with poems by Castro Alves illustrated by artists of Bahia such as Carybé, Carlos Bastos and Calazans Neto. Many artists also were supported at the beginning of their careers, well before they had their work recognized and became famous. Like Ilê Ayiê’s first album, whose cover is part of the exhibition.
“Odebrecht Group has supported arts in multiple dimensions, especially in projects in the areas of literature, plastic arts, dance and architectural restoration. This long trajectory of support to the cultural segment is the theme of the exhibit to be set up at OR Experience store,” said Marcelo Gentil, responsible for the Communications at Odebrecht S.A.
