ViaSul Consortium is pioneer in the AppMobile implementation
DATE: 06/30/2025
Between June 9 and 13, the work fronts of the ViaSul Construction Consortium, formed by Odebrecht Engineering and Construction and PowerChina, responsible for the duplication of BR 386 in Rio Grande do Sul, received the Corporate IT team responsible for the Ronda Ponto system for the implementation of AppMobile, an application that allows team members to register their attendance via their mobile phones.
The initiative, led by IT members Bianca Oliveira, Claudia Pimentel, and Rafael Maia, and coordinated by José Lucas, Human Resources Coordinator at ViaSul, marks the first adoption of AppMobile at a construction site, benefiting approximately 1,200 professionals.
According to José Lucas, “The implementation of the application marks a pioneering advance in the modernization of our time management. With attendance registration directly via mobile phones, team members will have more convenience, optimizing the routine at work fronts and strengthening the efficiency of our operations,” he says.
With geolocation technology and virtual fences, AppMobile ensures precision in registrations and is fully compliant with Ordinance 671, which regulates time management in Brazil. The innovation brings more convenience, agility, and technology to the daily lives of the project team members.
In addition to modernizing the process, the expectation is a significant productivity gain: it is estimated that each team member will save up to 1.5 hours per day, as it will no longer be necessary to go to the central site just to register attendance.
“Currently, attendance registration processes are manual, which consumes a lot of time and is prone to errors and rework,” explains Francisco Cordeiro, Administrative Coordinator of the project. “The new tool brings agility in payroll processing and greater transparency in information, allowing each team member to access attendance data in real-time. Automating processes increases efficiency and frees up time for more strategic activities.”
The implementation of AppMobile reinforces the commitment of Corporate IT and ViaSul to innovation, operational efficiency, and the well-being of their team members.
