ViaSul Construction Consortium completes beam launching on BR-386

Last Saturday (1st), the ViaSul Construction Consortium completed the launching of the last three beams of segment “E” of the BR-386 highway in Lajeado, Rio Grande do Sul. In total, 38 beams were launched, weighing between 20 and 97 tons, and measuring between 14 and 44 meters.
The duplication of BR-386 includes the construction of new lanes, service roads, bridges, walkways, and safety devices, providing smoother traffic flow, reducing accidents, and offering safer access for the population.
The project directly contributes to the economic development and improvement of the quality of life in the region, facilitating the movement of people and the transportation of goods.
About ViaSul
The ViaSul Consortium, formed by the construction companies OEC – Odebrecht Engineering and Construction and PowerChina, is responsible for the duplication of sections B, C, and E of BR-386, between the cities of Tio Hugo, Mormaço, Soledade, Fontoura Xavier, Marques de Souza, Lajeado, and Estrela, for the Concessionaire of Integrated Highways of the South, a CCR company.
Sections B and C correspond to a total length of 56.1 km, with two traffic lanes and shoulders. The work includes earthmoving services with excavations, asphalt paving, storm drainage, special structures such as viaducts, bridges, and underpasses, as well as embankment and excavated slope containment, signage, and traffic diversions. In section E, in addition to the activities carried out in sections B and C, the work includes the duplication of 20.4 km between the municipalities of Marques de Souza and Lajeado and the construction of additional lanes with a length of 5.1 km between the municipalities of Lajeado and Estrela.
