Colón Reurbanization has won the 2020 ENR Global Best Project Award

After being selected as the best project of the year in the Renovation category by the judges of the Global Best Projects award, granted by the north american magazine ENR, Colón Reurbanization, in Panama, was chosen today (09/17) as the 2020 Global Best Project among all 30 initially elected. According to the magazine, the additional criteria taken into account for this choice are: design, construction quality, innovation, safety performance, benefits for the community and overcoming challenges.

Colón competed with two other global finalist projects: the Al Mahsama Water Treatment Plant, in Egypt, submitted by Khatib & Alami, and the Northeast Sydney Metro, in Australia, submitted by Mott MacDonald. The awards were officially announced during a virtual event that took place today, September 17th. It is OEC once again raising national engineering to the highest levels in the world!
