Campaign: Respect has no color | Say no to racism
DATE: 11/23/2023
With the theme “Respect has no color, say no to racism”, Enseada launches a campaign in honor of Black Awareness Day, celebrated annually on November 20 in honor of Zumbi dos Palmares, who was killed in 1695, marking a day of struggle against oppression and his contribution to black resistance in Brazil.
The Black Awareness Day campaign plays a crucial role in promoting equality, celebrating diversity and raising awareness about the history and contributions of black people.
In the next Daily Work Training (DWT) organised for workers at Enseada on 22/11, an interactive action will be carried out that highlights the company’s commitment to inclusion and the appreciation of diversity. By incorporating elements that allude to the quilombos that exist in the Maragojipe region, the initiative not only pays homage to the rich Afro-Brazilian cultural heritage, but also highlights the importance of recognizing and preserving the traditions of these local Quilombola Remnant Communities.
This approach not only enriches the workplace with a deeper understanding of the country’s history, but also strengthens the bonds of respect and solidarity between employees, contributing to a more inclusive and conscious working environment.
Promoting activities that rescue and exalt quilombola traditions significantly contributes to building a fairer and more egalitarian society, where all cultures are recognised and respected.
