    According to Braskem, the initiative helps advance its low-carbon operations to achieve sustainability goals

    Braskem announced on Monday (6) an agreement to sell bio-attributed ethylene to Oxiteno, controlled by the Thai group Indorama.

    Ethylene, used for the production of polyethylene and other industrial petrochemical products, is the first chemical produced by Braskem with a biological basis using the Mass Balance process, which has a lower environmental impact, according to the company.

    The companies did not disclose the volume of the product to be traded. According to Braskem, the initiative helps advance its low-carbon operations to achieve sustainability goals.
