Braskem is recognized in the 22nd Paint & Pintura Awards

For the first time in the 22 years of the awards, Braskem has won the Paint & Pintura Award, one of the main accolades in the Brazilian paint market. This year, Braskem and Petrobras were the winners in the category Best Hydrocarbon Solvent Supplier. The awards ceremony was held on May 18, at the Vila dos Ipês Space in São Paulo city.

In this edition, the awards featured 53 winners in various categories, of which 39 were for Suppliers, eight for Best Paint Manufacturers and six for Personalities of the Year.

“This is a major achievement by our teams and highlights the improvements we have made in customer service and product development as well as the many other actions we have taken to forge closer relations with all links in our chain,” said Isabel Figueiredo, head of the sales and business development team at Braskem’s Chemicals Unit.

In 2017, Braskem launched three new brands of hydrocarbon solvents: Braskem EzolemT, Braskem PluractT and Braskem SensitisT. The brand launches were part of the company’s new strategy for the solvents market, since the three new lines ensure higher product performance and reliability for paint and thinner producers.

The new brands also reinforce the positioning of Braskem’s Chemicals Unit to commit itself to help professionalize the industry by seeking higher levels of innovation, sustainability and responsibility, which are important aspects to the company and part of its corporate DNA.
