DATE: 06/21/2018
Braskem received this Thursday (21) the award “Dream Career,” in the category “Young Professionals,” based on a survey conducted of university students who chose the petrochemical company as one of their dream companies.
Sponsored by Cia. de Talentos, a consulting firm specializing in career management, the award identifies those organizations that best support professional development and ultimately reflects people’s aspiration to build a life in which work is a source of happiness and learning. In the ranking compiled based on the results of the survey, Braskem came in eighth.
“We believe that the company’s future is directly related to each team members’ development and their expectation of professional growth inside Braskem. Providing a healthy workplace in which people can be themselves, in which trust and autonomy prevail in the realization of their professional aspirations, where training and development programs are offered to hone skills, are just some of the guiding principles. It’s very satisfying and inspiring to see the market recognize these efforts,” said Marcelo Arantes, People, Communication, Marketing and Sustainable Development Officer at Braskem.
Conducted from January 15 to March 21, the survey, which was completed by people in different stages of their career, was divided into three categories: “Young Professionals,” with around 70,000 respondents; “Mid Management” (coordinators and managers), with 13,000 respondents; and “Senior Leadership” (senior managers and officers), with 4,000 respondents.
According to the organizers, some 87,000 participants in Brazil responded to an online questionnaire and participated in in-depth interviews that included questions such as “What is the name of your dream company?” TNS audited the survey and Next View coordinated the data analysis, which involved a statistical methodology to attribute different weightings to the responses to represent better the survey’s universe.
Now in its 17th edition, the Dream Career Awards is organized in 13 countries and impacts more than four million people every year. For more information, go to http://www.carreiradossonhos.com.br/
