On August 7, the beam lifting operation was completed on three strategic structures of the BR-386 duplication project, Segment B: the Porongos River Bridge, the Jacuí River Bridge, and the Parclo Tio Hugo Viaduct. The operation, which began on July 30, involved lifting 21 beams and marked an important milestone in the progress of the project.

The operation demanded detailed technical planning, the use of large-scale equipment, and the involvement of a specialized team. Prior to lifting, weather conditions were analyzed, soil stability was verified, supports were aligned, and safety measures were implemented in the area.

According to representatives of the ViaSul Construction Consortium, responsible for executing the project, the progress made in this phase will significantly contribute to the workflow and accelerate the delivery schedule. “These are important milestones in Segment B of BR-386. It will bring even more fluidity and speed to the progress of the work, toward the delivery of the project, which is our main goal,” said André Lino, Operations Manager of the Consortium.

The duplication of BR-386 is considered one of the region’s main road infrastructure projects, with a direct impact on road safety, mobility, and local economic development.
