On 09/31, 10/01 and 10/04, 30 students from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas São Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP) participated in an unprecedented event consisting in the introduction and immersion in the OEC – Odebrecht Engenharia & Construção Compliance Program. The activity was part of the Integrity and Compliance course, led by professors Ligia Maura Costa and Luciana Betiol, with the support of OEC’s Compliance area.

During the week, the FGV EAESP students had the opportunity to interface with the Compliance team at the Odebrecht offices in São Paulo. Company executives shared the daily and real-world challenges of an engineering and construction company such as, for example, conducting efficient training sessions for suppliers on the topics of ethics and integrity. Students were exposed to the company’s reality and presented, during the weekend, as part of the program’s closure, solutions for the identified challenges.

For them to have a dimension of the magnitude of OEC’s works, virtual reality glasses were distributed to the students to watch 360º videos of the hydroelectric power plants of Baixo Iguaçu, in Paraná, Brazil, and Laúca, in Angola. Additionally, a Swivel Excavator and Pipe Layer simulator was made available by the Afeq/Odeq team, bringing the world of machines into the office room.
